I absolutely love Cascada de las Ánimas. I’ve been to Cajón del Maipo a couple of times before, but only for one day trips to the hot springs and reservoir. This time, I decided to stay overnight and try some activities—and it was such a great decision. Without high expectations, I was honestly amazed. The place is incredibly beautiful and feels almost magical. The resort has a fairytale, storybook style that I don’t usually see where I’m from. There are so many activities to choose from—ziplining, rafting, rock climbing, trekking, pool, spa, massage, and more. We went trekking, and even though it’s recommended for kids over 5, my 3yo absolutely loved it. Later, we booked a 7pm jacuzzi session, which was so relaxing—listening to the water and looking up at a sky full of stars was unforgettable. The massage experience was also fantastic. Absolutely beautiful place to stay! Very good service. The hike to the waterfalls itself is a short distance but they stop to talk about the nature around you. It ends up taking about an hour and a half and I would recommend hiking to the second waterfall, it’s a more difficult to hike there but worth it! Try the restaurant too, it’s amazing. Would love to come back here one day.
This place used to be nice and accommodating - lately the receptionists have been extremely rude. Not a welcoming environment anymore for foreigners. Skip it and go somewhere else
