Getting there
The drive up from Santiago takes about an hour on Camino a Farellones, climbing the switchbacks that also lead on to the ski resorts, chains are sometimes required in winter. Ski shuttles run from Las Condes in season and are the easiest option if you'd rather not drive the mountain road yourself. Summer visits are far quieter than winter weekends, when the road can back up with ski traffic.
