A restaurant that we can highly recommend. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and taken care of by the very attentive and accommodating staff throughout the entire lunch. What stood out most was their professionalism and competence - every recommendation regarding the food and wine pairing complemented the dishes perfectly and elevated the whole experience. The food itself was outstanding. We had the king crab, octopus, and mussels with sea urchin, all of which were exceptionally fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The presentation of each dish was elegant. The restaurant is not located directly on the main street but rather tucked away in a small alley, which gives it a special charm. Despite its slightly hidden location, the restaurant was very busy, which speaks for its quality. The ambiance was stylish, warm, and inviting. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and I would definitely come back again.
Our evening at Donde Willy was amazing – not only was the traditional Chilean food delicious and expertly prepared, the hospitality was world class. We ordered the 5 course tasting menu which included a wine pairing with each dish. King Crab, ceviche, caviar, sea bass, pastel de choclo. It was such a pleasure to be guided through this culinary experience by our server Denic who had such an impressive knowledge of each flavor, fish and wine. We were surprised at how inexpensive everything was, considering the quality. This dinner has been a highlight from our time in Chile we won’t soon forget!
Absolutely one of the best dining experiences imaginable. Our group of seven unanimously agreed it ranked among our top three meals *ever*. Denic’s hospitality and knowledge made the evening unforgettable — he connects with guests in such a genuine, engaging way. The seafood was extraordinarily fresh and flavorful, each dish prepared with care and precision. Victor’s bar service was top-notch, with perfectly balanced wine recommendations (and amazing Pisco Sours) that complemented the meal beautifully. Learning about Willy’s story added so much meaning to what we were enjoying. Truly exceptional from start to finish — a must-visit experience.
