Concerts, markets and festivals across Pirque, in the wine valleys around Santiago.
What Is On in Pirque?
Pirque is a rural comuna across the Maipo river from Puente Alto, where Santiago gives way to vineyards, horse farms and the foothills of the Andes. Concha y Toro's historic estate is here, along with Haras de Pirque and a string of smaller wineries, country restaurants and weekend cabins, and at the end of the valley lies Río Clarillo National Park. Below are the upcoming events we know about in Pirque.
Frequently Asked Questions
We are still building out our upcoming events coverage of Pirque. This page lists only dates still to come, so anything that has passed drops off automatically. Beyond us, Instagram does most of the work in Santiago: venues and promoters post line-ups there rather than keeping websites current, and Puntoticket carries the ticketed shows.
Stadium and arena concerts sell out within days of going on sale and football requires a ticket registered to your passport number ahead of time. Bar gigs, neighbourhood markets and street festivals in Pirque you can simply turn up to. Theatre and opera need a week or two.
Later than most visitors expect. Concerts rarely begin before 9pm and support acts can push headliners past 11pm. Bars fill from 10pm and clubs barely move before 1am. Markets and daytime festivals are the exception, running from mid morning. Plan your ride home before you go, since late buses are scarce.
Music, dance, markets and exhibitions cross the language barrier without trouble. Theatre and comedy are almost entirely in Spanish, in Pirque as in the rest of Santiago. International touring acts perform in their own language, and Santiago a Mil in January brings a genuinely multilingual programme to venues across the city.
