We stopped at Hansel y Gretel after spending the day hiking in the foothills of Lo Barnechea. We were looking for a calm place to unwind and have a quick meal, and this place delivered. When we arrived, the restaurant was not crowded, which set a relaxed tone. The setting is spacious and green, with a rustic, countryside feel. We chose to sit in the outdoor seating area, which is peaceful and nicely laid out. There are two water fountains, one at each end of the seating area. The sound of running water added a real sense of tranquility and did a great job of mostly drowning out the occasional road noise from a passing vehicle. There is also a dedicated playground area, which makes this an especially good option for families. Kids have space to move, play, and burn off energy before or after the meal, while adults can actually sit, talk, and enjoy the food without feeling rushed. It is a thoughtful setup that makes dining here feel relaxed and genuinely family friendly rather than chaotic. Service was good from the start.
