An absolutely amazing experience! The food was delicious and served piping hot I ordered the chicken topped with melted cheese and it was perfectly crispy on the outside while remaining tender and juicy on the inside. The portions of rice and french fries were generous and very filling. Service was fast and the atmosphere was cozy. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend checking it out

Don Peyo is a quintessential Santiago landmark for anyone seeking an authentic Chilean culinary experience. Located in Ñuñoa, it has evolved from a humble 1970s "picada" into a beloved institution known for its generous portions and traditional atmosphere. The menu shines with national classics; the Plateada (slow-cooked beef) is legendary for its tenderness, and the Pastel de Choclo offers a perfect balance of savory and sweet. While the popularity often results in a bustling, lively environment, the indoor seating remains cozy and welcoming for families. It is the ideal spot for straightforward, flavorful comfort food without the fusion fluff.

This is a fabulous restaurant! Somehow they have managed to hide it so it’s not very visible from the outside and the name is rather small. Don’t let that put you off though. It is very good. I came early in the evening & the service was quick and very courteous. The food was simply superb & very well priced. I would highly recommend you visit when next in Santiago de Chile.
