What Is There to Do in La Parva?

La Parva is an alpine ski village neighboring Valle Nevado, known for its scenic runs, chalets, and relaxed, exclusive feel. Part of the linked Tres Valles ski area, it draws skiers for its varied terrain and its panoramic views over the central valley far below. Below are the attractions and activities we recommend in La Parva.

Frequently Asked Questions

We currently list one attraction or activity in La Parva. Give it a full day at least. La Parva is far enough from Santiago that a half day is mostly spent travelling, and the drive out through Mountains is part of the appeal rather than something to hurry through.

La Parva lies outside the city, so the Metro does not reach it. Most people drive, book a transfer or join a tour, and the journey runs roughly forty five minutes to two hours each way depending on the route and on the traffic leaving town. Check road conditions before setting out in winter.

It is the simplest way, though not the only one. The places on this page are spread out rather than clustered on a few streets, so getting between them on foot is not realistic. Organised tours and booked drivers cover the main stops, and they are the sensible choice if tastings are involved.

Start early. The roads out of Santiago clog on weekend mornings and mountain weather can turn by mid afternoon, so most people leave the city by eight or nine and are back before dark. Winter shortens the useful day considerably and can close the higher roads altogether.
