El Arrayan is a tranquil foothill neighborhood following the Mapocho river into the Andes, prized for its clean air, nature reserve, and countryside feel within the city limits. Its riverside restaurants and hiking trails make it a favorite weekend escape for Santiaguinos. Below are the restaurants, bars, and cafes we recommend in El Arrayán.

We currently list 23 places to eat and drink in El Arrayán. The mix reflects the neighbourhood: Luxury Santiago shapes what opens where, from picadas and market comedores in the older barrios to modern kitchens and wine bars in the newer ones. Chilean staples such as empanadas de pino, completos and pastel de choclo turn up almost everywhere.
